Review: I See Sam

First of all... the company packaged the books so poorly that I received only an envelope by the time it arrived here. However, they quickly fixed it and not only resent it priority and in a box.. but they sent a nice puppet as an "I'm sorry" gift. So, they have great customer service.

As for the books... they are hardly beyond what you can print off of your computer. The pages are stapled together. Something that I find annoying is that many of the books are just repeating themselves. The first three books have only the words "see" "sam" and "I." Honestly, I think once you get to the second book there should be at least one other word in it. (I do understand that the repetitiveness is good for building fluency though and Aidan did enjoy the fact she could breeze through the first handful of books.)

The progression of the words is nice. It builds in an easy, flowing way.

These are good starter books for a reader lacking in confidence... but I don't think I would buy them again. However, I have every intention of using them because I purchased them ...but surprisingly... I prefer the Bob books.
